For one thing, water makes up a large percentage of our body.

Our brain and heart for instance are 73% water. Our lungs are 83% water. Our muscles and kidneys are 79% water. Our skin contains 64% water. Even our bones are watery– 31% of it is water.

So, before you pop up any med’s for indigestion or any other minor problems, try drinking water first.

Here are a few water detox recipes you can easily prepare to keep your digestion healthy and your body clean.

Orange, Lemon, Ginger Water

Why try this?

Ginger is a known immune booster, lemon is proven to aid digestion, and oranges are effective in improving blood circulation.

Preparation:

Peel ginger and slice thinly. Also slice one lemon and orange. Drop in 1 liter of water and drink throughout the day. Refill as much as you like.

Mint Water

Research shows that mint has the highest antioxidant properties of any foods. It is found to contain small amount of calcium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorous, vitamin C and vitamin B. It is known to calm an upset stomach and improve bile flow through the tummy.

Preparation:

Jazz up your everyday water by simply adding a few fresh mint leaves for a refreshing drink.

Water with Apple Cider Vinegar

Organic and unfiltered apple cider vinegar contains “mother”– that blob composed of protein strands, enzymes and friendly bacteria that give the vinegar its murky appearance. Preparation:
