How to grow it?

Rosemary is very resistant and branched, aromatic, semi-shrub, which grows one to three meters in height, woody only in the lower part, with thick, the edges downward curved leaves. The leaves have a very short stem, are narrow, dark green, above a little rough. The plant blooms twice a year, in April and September. It can be grown from cuttings, and grows best in a sunny spot, in a well-drained sandy soil. Do not ask a lot of water, but loves the sun. The flowers are harvested while they are in full bloom and the leaves all year. During the winter rosemary is desirable to protect from the cold – with straw or foil, and if grown in a container it is best to enter the closed area, the place is not too hot.

The Studies

The new studies showed that rosemary is a great antioxidant, which slows down aging. It acts calming on digestion, so you can use it against the pain in the stomach, feeling of bloated and constipated. It is also an excellent anti-inflammatory agent. Rosemary contains flavonoids, which stimulate circulation, strengthen blood vessels and improve blood flow in the veins, and this explains the traditional use of rosemary to improve memory and concentration, the headache and to stimulate hair growth.
