Make Yourself a Probiotic Deodorant At Home

Many people are not aware how probiotics are good for our organism. Especially when they are all natural. Some of them are kefir and Kombucha and you most certainly should know something about them.

The latest studies have shown how probiotics have a big impact on our digestion, and using a “good bacteria” can improve our life. But now, scientists are showing how probiotic can balance the bacteria on the skin.

When it comes to people who have skin rashes, acne, psoriasis, and eczema, that is a great news. These probiotics can also be used as a potent antidote against aging.

Conventional deodorants are full of chemicals and, yes, they kill bad bacteria on our skin, but they also harm that same skin.

Here are some reasons why you should use natural probiotic deodorant:

  • Some of those antiperspirants have aluminum, parabens, propylene glycol, phthalates, and triclosan and other harmful chemicals in them.
  • “Green”, store-bought deodorants have a bit higher price.

Homemade Probiotic Deodorant

You will need:

  • 1 tbsp cocoa butter
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (here is the best coconut oil out there)
  • 1 tbsp Shea butter
  • 1 tbsp beeswax
  • 2 1/2 tbsp arrowroot powder
  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp non-GMO vitamin E oil
  • 15 drops essential oil(of your choice)
  • 2 capsules powdered probiotics

Directions:

First, you need to melt beeswax, coconut oil, and Shea butter in a pan on a low heat.

After all the ingredients are melted, take the saucepan off the stove and add arrowroot and baking soda. Then whisk all of it with chopsticks until mixed well.

Add vitamin E and essential oils and then let it cool. In the end, when you get pudding-like consistency, add probiotic capsules and stir the mixture.

Put all of the mixture in the clean deodorant container and put it in a fridge to harden. You don’t have to keep it in the fridge all the time, and this dosage will last you 3-4 months.

Make sure you find probiotics that contain highly resistant beneficial bacteria, such as lactobacillus and bifidobacteria.

Some of the shelf stable probiotics like Bio-Kult need to be placed in the fridge all the time.

These are some of the combinations of the essential oils for you. Also, if your skin is sensitive you can use only arrowroot.

Essential oil combinations:

• Geranium and lime
• Lemongrass, wild orange, and bergamot
• Lavender
• Sandalwood and ylang ylang
• Rosemary and peppermint
