This is a condition that usually occurs in older population, between 40 and 60 years of age. Pain and stiffness limit the range of shoulder movements and it can be pretty annoying. It is caused by several factors: shoulder injury, dehydration, and autoimmune disease. People who suffered from stroke, diabetes or heart disease are more prone to this condition.
It develops in 3 stages:
- Painful stage- a severe shoulder pain
- Frozen stage- inability to move the shoulder
- Thawing stage- the latest stage of frozen shoulder
This condition can be treated with natural remedies
Crush several garlic gloves and heat it in a pan with mustard oil. Remove the pan from the heat as soon as the garlic turns brown, and let it cool down. Massage the hurting shoulder with it.
Heat packs can be also helpful and the process must be repeated several times a day. Put the heat pack on the hurting spot and leave it for 15 minutes.
Black sesame seeds mixture is a good pain relief. Dip the seeds into a glass of water and let it sit overnight. Drink the mixture in the morning.
Acupuncture shows excellent results in fighting this painful condition
Stretching exercises – Stretch your arms in order to improve your shoulders movability. Also, try yoga as an alternative.
Drink plenty of water, since frozen shoulder may be caused by lack of fluids intake.
Healthy diet is important. Fresh and unprocessed food is essential for one’s well-being. Include herbs, spices, soups, and vegetables in order to relieve the inflammatory process.
Avoid fried foods and unhealthy fats, because they can only worsen your condition. Also avoid foods rich in fat and sodium.
