I was just finishing my PhD, when I found out that my aunt Gladys was ill from severe bacterial infection after an abdominal surgery. A few weeks later, I received a phone call – that aunt Gladys died, and my aunt Fran just found out that she is in the 4th stage of cancer.
Every free moment I used to by her side and tried to experience her pain and suffer. At that moment, I realized that she will pass away soon, but I couldn’t just stand and watch her die.
I was beside till the end, watching her suffer and hallucinate, due oxycontin that was prescribed because of the pain she was feeling.
My Diagnose of Lungs Cancer
During 2003 I noticed that I have the same kind of cough like my aunt Fran, and it was getting worse as the time went by.
My aunt died in 2005 and by that time my condition was even worse. When I went to the doctor, he told me a really bad news, I had lung cancer in stage 4, and that I have only 3 months left. I was devastated, but it did not take me long to decide, that I don’t want to go without a fight.
I read a lot of books, and researched about acupuncture, herbal medicine, when the Chinese doctor put me on a special diet. It contained a numerous sorts of cabbage, seeds of pumpkin, tofu and all other green vegetables.
Fried food, sugar, salt and pepper was out of my menu, and oil was allowed in really small amounts. Food had to be cooked, and the meat was banned, too. A lot of tea was recommended so I took it three or four times a day.
Just a year after the horrible discovery, my weight went from 60kg to just 45. I felt really bad, and I knew that I was close to the end.
As time went by, and I managed to survive those three months, that doctor gave me, I felt better, and start having positive thoughts. I realized the importance of proper diet, and even in the 1930s the Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Otto Warburg, showed that cancer spreads and feeds with fat and proteins. His study has shown that diet has an important role in treating cancer, and I realized that.
After my confidence was back, not that I only continued with my diet, but also began to meditate, and start having breathing exercises.
18 Months Later, Lungs Cancer Was Gone
I finished my PhD in 2008, safe and sound. To this day, I still practice this diet, and when I consume sugar, it must be an organic one. I don’t eat GMO food, and when I see an unfamiliar ingredient I Google it, to see if it is safe for me to eat.
2015, Still Cancer Free
I am glad that I followed the advice of the Chinese doctor, because thanks to him I am still alive. I still don’t drink alcohol, and I tend to spend time in nature as much as I can. This diet became a permanent part of my life, and I am thankful for every new day.
