Healthy and shiny hair makes us feel confident, satisfied and attractive. But hair is not just something which makes us beautiful, it also shows how we feel inside and out.
If you want your hair to be silky and smooth, you will need to put a little effort into accomplishing that. If your hair is thin and cracked, protect your hair from direct sun and cold weather in the winter. If your hair is greasy, try washing it with a shampoo lock by lock instead of rubbing your scalp.
Dry your hair naturally, without using a hairdryer. Hot air is damaging your hair by destroying the keratin in it and making it unable to keep in the moist.
Losing your hair – what to do?
It is not comfortable seeing your hair fall out, but don’t worry too much. Experts say it is a common thing and people lose between 50 and 100 hairs a day. It is happening due to hair’s natural regeneration, the dead hairs are making room for young and healthy ones.
Excessive falling out of hair can be prevented with better nutrition and treating your hair with masks and conditioners, and most important with healthy way of life.
Try out some tips and trick:
- Before washing it, comb your hair deeply
- Wash your hair with lukewarm water
- Use naturally made shampoos, try avoiding chemicals
- Gently rub in shampoo into your hair
The most important nutrients for your hair: Vitamin C, biotin, proteins, zinc and iron. Make sure you eat enough fruits and vegetables, also dairy products and whole grains since they are rich in all ingredients you need.
Nettle is a magical ingredient
Add nettle tea to your hair routine. Nettle makes it stronger, nourishes it, stops the excessive fall out and it a natural anti-dandruff product. Nettle also cleanses blood, and helps with removing toxins from our system.
Green clay detox
Try out green clay mask for your hair. It makes the hair shinier and richer in volume.
Prepare 5-6 tbsp. of clay, 1 tbsp. of oil, water and add 5-6 drops of your favorite essential oil. Mix it, apply to your hair and massage scalp for 5 minutes. Let it sit for an hour and wash with shampoo.
Pour 5 drops of geranium essential oil into 20ml of mixed ricinus oil, wheat germ oil, and ylang-ylang. Apply the mixture into your hair, protect it with a warm towel and let it sit for an hour at least. Wash your hair with a shampoo afterwards.
You can use other essential oil, depending on your hair type:
- dry hair: lavender, geranium, carrot seed and sandal oil.
- oily hair: rosemary, lavender, cypress, Himalayan cedar, sage and lemon eucalyptus.
Olive oil is good for normal to dry hair types and not for oily and thin hair types.
Hyperici oil is excellent as anti-dandruff product and helps the thin hair (but avoid it if you have blond hair).
Coconut oil and sesame oil are suitable for all hair types.
Jojoba oil makes the circulation better, also helps with oily dandruff issues, falling out and heals cracked endings of hair.
