Hildegard von Bingen was a nun and she lived in the 12th century. Her writings were preserved and Doctor Gottfried Hertzka used them for the book he wrote “So God heals, The medicine St. Hildegard von Bingen as a new naturopathic”.
The recipe for the mulled wine is a worthy record of natural healing. Dr Hertzka wrote in his book how this recipe is excellent in fighting various diseases.
Mulled Wine Recipe
- 10 stems of fresh parsley
- 1 liter of pure natural wine (red or white)
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 300 grams of natural honey
How to prepare the wine:
Wash the parsley stems and put them in 1l of wine. Add vinegar and cook for 10 minutes. Then add honey and then cook for 4-5 minutes.
Prepare the glass bottles for keeping the wine by disinfecting them. Strain the liquid through gauze and pour the liquid in the bottles.
The liquid will create a residue which is normal. Famous Maria Traben also wrote about this recipe, although she never used honey.
How to use it:
Take 1 tablespoon of wine whenever you feel the symptoms.
Dr Hertzka wrote the wine should be used if any problems with heart occur, such as chest pain or abnormal beating of the heart.
You should drink up to 3 tablespoons a day.
This wine gave excellent results with angina-pectoris patients. Use it until all the symptoms are completely gone.
